Want to start planning your meals? Follow these 5 easy steps to get you started:
1. Make a list of foods or ingredients you do/ don’t like
2. Figure out what you want- are you wanting to eat less sweets? Less sugar? More veggies? Actually have 3 meals a day instead of 2?
3. Make a shopping list and go shopping- buy those ingredients you love and those you want to try
4. Schedule a couple of hours in the kitchen- cook up all your foods
5. Put them in containers- put some ingredients together that you like, place on the lid and put it in the fridge/ freezer
Of course, there is so much more I could have said about meal planning. These are just the quick and easy steps to get started. If you do this and didn’t get enough meals to last you the week, that’s ok! You know for next time to get a few more ingredients! Meal doesn’t taste good? Don’t make that one again!
It’s all about trial and error. Find what works for you. At the end of the week, evaluate whether you enjoyed your meals, did they satisfy you etc. You will be on your way to being a meal prep pro in no time.
