How to Figure Out What You Want in Life

As a Health & Wellness Coach, something that is extremely important is helping clients to create a vision for themselves.


But what is a vision? A vision is a picture of your ideal wellness described in words. It is what you want and why it is important. It is said/ written as if it were already true and can be a powerful future orientated statement, motivating you to achieve your goals.


To create your own vision statement, you must think of the direction you wish to go and answer the following questions:

1. Who do I want to be if I were at my best?

2. What will I be doing?

3. Why is this important to me?

4. What will happen if I continue the way I am?

5. What else could change?


When creating your vision, you must think of what you want to change, why you want this change, any obstacles that might come up, how will you overcome these obstacles and what are your strengths that could be of use to you?


You may not achieve this vision in 3 months, 6 months or even 1 year, but this is the direction you are aiming.


If this is really something you want, write this statement down and be as detailed as possible.


Place it in a place you will see every day!


From here, it is much easier to create smaller and more achievable stepping stones which will help you in achieving the bigger picture
