14 Tips For Staying Healthy At Work

Want to know how you can become that little bit healthier while being at work? Check out these simple and easy tips below!
Bring your own lunch/ snacks: Bring your own delicious meals. You know the exact ingredients and how processed it is, unlike those bought from takeaway places or canteens.
Every hour, get up and move around: Nothing worse than standing up after a long shift of sitting down. The muscles are so stiff and you can get back pain. Move around regularly! This can also increase your step count and calories expended for the day
Always keep a drink bottle with water handy: Always hydrate! 2-3L per day
Notice your posture and try not to slouch: Slouching for days on end can seriously hurt
Only allow yourself office treats on one day of the week: Or bring your own healthy treats you made at home!
Utilise a standing desk: Can confirm these are a great addition!
Take a walk at lunchtime: Getting out in the sun for a nice walk to break up you day is so lovely and refreshing. Also very useful if you have a step goal and love walking
Keep your desk clean and clear: Leaves you more focused, less stressed and a clearer mind to increase work productivity
Limit your caffeine intake
Take the stairs as much as possible: Increases energy output and gets the blood flowing!
Park a few blocks away and walk to work: Or walk or ride to work if possible for you
Get up and go and see your colleagues if you need to speak to them: Often only a few extra minutes take out of your day. Much healthier than than just emailing a colleague in the next room
Set a few goals each day and focus on one at a time: Prioritize your tasks and try to multitask as little as possible. This can increase work efficiency and ensure you tick off tasks constantly.
If you’re stressed/ anxious, step away from your desk and take some deep breaths or do some meditation: There is no point working if your mind is a jumble.
